Please go to the following link for payment:

The total with tax is $105.93.  You’ll note from the internet address that this is a link to Iowa Flight Training, my flight school. Call me lazy, but it was easier to run the payments through my flight school than having to create a new website for this class. (By the way, if you have an interest in learning to fly, we operate from The Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids.) We accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover, Paypal, and Check.  If you pay by check (made out to Iowa Flight Training), send it to my flight school address at:

Tim Busch
c/o Iowa Flight Training
3435 Beech Way SW
Cedar Rapids, IA 52404

Once you’re paid, I will send you materials for the class, which include a really nice study guide book with an audio CD to help you get fired up for the class. The pre-study guide goes through all the material that we’ll cover in the class. Please take as much time as possible before the class to study the questions and answers. Although we’ll go through everything in class, it will help you to see the material before you arrive so it doesn’t hit you cold.

Part of the information you will receive in advance will include instructions for registering with the FCC so you have all your testing paperwork ready to go before you arrive on Saturday. Do this right away when you receive the materials.  When you complete the FCC605 form, scan and email it back to me so the testing group will be ready for you on class day.  We will be testing the same day.  The FCC typically has your new callsigns released within 5 – 10 working days after the class.

You will also be receiving additional emails with more information before and after the class.

Please let me know if you have additional questions,

Greetings Everyone!

All amateurs and those interested in amateur radio are welcome at club meetings and events.

The Hidden Valleys Amateur Radio Club is a small friendly club located in the hills and valleys of Southwestern Wisconsin. Our members participate in Field Day, Wisconsin QSO parties, local community service activities, and also offer ham licensing classes. Many of us are trained storm spotters, some have CPR, and a few have multiple Red Cross certifications.

Our club meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00PM in the lower level of the Southwest Health Center in Platteville Wisconsin. We have a weekly Sunday night net meeting at 7:30 PM on the N0WLU repeater on 146.895Mhz 114.8 pl. All check-ins are welcome.

We wish to thank Scott Onson KD9GBJ for the server space on which this web site is hosted.
